Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs – Great Bands & Music

Putnam Place (formerly Putnam Den) with it’s newly renovated interior, rousted the block again at 63a Putnam Street in Saratoga Springs, with two more, great bands- Madaila and Let’s Be Leonard.

Madaila had a smooth street sense that brought the crowd to the dance floor and kept the tunes upbeat and in Sync. The performers bring a synergetic mixture of good vocals and catchy beats that energized the room. Their debut album ‘The Dance’ in early 2015, gave them a big boost and this hot band been touring ever since. They have upcoming gigs in Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Florida and Pennsylvania.

Let’s Be Leonard is an easy going group from Saratoga Springs, New York. The band has a big following members consist of locals, Matt Griffin on lead guitar, Karl Bertrand on rhythm guitar, Connor Dunn on saxophone, Chris Cronin on bass and Paul Gauy on drums. Let’s Be Leonard Video.

Right from the start they came on with a cool vibe of rock n roll with some jazz, pop funk and of course, the Grateful Dead. Their sounds filled the dance floor with swaying and free form dancing that pleased the audience to no end. I particularly thought that the sax playing was outstanding. Let’s Be Leonard, will be touring in Ithaca, New York on October 30th and November in Wisconsin and Illinois. They will be returning to Ithaca again on November 16.

The new Putnam Place was beautiful and clean with the smooth new dance floor and presented a combination of local Saratoga and New York City vibe. The crowd was a mix of all ages in casual and dress, but always at ease with everyone just chillin’ out. Putnam Place is a nice place to mill around and the bar tenders are quick and pleasant.

There was a lot of paparazzi at the Putnam Place this week with Visual Magic Agency’s marketing crew doing interviews, taking pictures and video.
